정세균 국회의장 일행이 러시아 보로프스키구 보로시노의 산업시설과 삼성전자 루스칼루가 공장을 방문했다고 러시아 니카 통신이 16일 보도했다.
칼루가주의 아르타모노프 주지사는 이날 한국과 칼루가주의 우호관계를 상징하는 기념식수에 참석한 후 칼루가주에 대한 관심에 감사의 뜻을 표했다.
그는 칼루가 주와 한국간의 교역량이 날로 증가하고 있다며 이는 푸틴 대통령의 정책과 러시아의 경제성장 덕분이라고 말했다.
아르타모노프 주지사는 “칼루가주의 투자역량과 새로운 협력사업 가능성을 알리기 위해 10월 말에 한국을 방문할 것”이라며 “푸틴 대통령은 특별히 동남아와 한국과의 사업 관계 확대에 많은 관심을 두고 있다. 칼루가가 이 협력에 기여하고 있다는 것이 매우 기쁘다”고 말했다.
정세균 의장은 주정부가 공동사업 추진을 위한 적절한 환경마련과 한국 파트너들과의 적극적인 협력생산을 한 것에 대해 감사의 뜻을 표하고 “삼성전자 루스 칼루가의 제품이 러시아에서 인기가 있다는 것이 매우 기쁘다. 더 많은 한국기업들을 칼루가 주에 설립했으면 좋겠다. 이것은 우호적인 한러 관계 발전에 공헌을 할 것”고 말했다.
이날 회동에는 유리 볼코프 상원의원, 블라디미르 포툠킨 부지사, 드미트리 라주모프스키 지역발전부장관, 일리야 베셀로프 보로프구청장, 박노벽 한국대사, 이환균 삼성전자 루스 칼루가 대표 등이 참석했다.

칼루가, 모스크바 남서쪽 188km 위치
칼루가는 러시아 칼루가 주의 주도로 오카 강에 면해 있다. 모스크바에서 남서쪽으로 188km 떨어져 있다. 인구는 33만 5,100명 (2002년)이다.
중세시대 보로틴스키 왕자가 칼루가를 세웠으며 보로틴스키 왕자의 집이 칼루가 남서쪽에 있다.
칼루가는 모스크바와는 철도에 의해 연결되어 있고, 고대에는 차도로 연결되었는데 칼루가 도로라고 불렸다.
Kaluga, founded in the mid-14th century as a border fortress on the southwestern borders of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, first appears in the historical record in chronicles in the 14th century as Koluga; the name comes from Old Russian kaluga - "bog, quagmire".[15] In the Middle Ages Kaluga was a minor settlement owned by the Princes Vorotynsky. The ancestral home of these princes lies southwest of the modern city.
On 19 January 1777 the Kaluga drama theatre opened its first theatrical season, established with the direct participation of the Governor-General M. N. Krechetnikov.
Kaluga is connected to Moscow by a railway line and by the ancient roadway, the Kaluga Road (now partly within Moscow (as Starokaluzhskoye Shosse - the Old Kaluga Highway), partly the A101 road). This road offered Napoleon his favored escape route from the Moscow trap in the fall of 1812. But General Kutuzov repelled Napoleon's advances in this direction and forced the retreating French army onto the old Smolensk road, previously devastated by the French during their invasion of Russia.
On several occasions during the Russian Empire Kaluga was the residence of political exiles and prisoners such as the last Crimean khan Şahin Giray (1786), the Kyrgyz sultan Arigazi-Abdul-Aziz (1828), the Georgian princess Thecla (1834–1835), and the Avar leader Imam Shamil (1859–1868).
Kaluga was briefly occupied by the German army in Operation Barbarossa during the climactic Battle of Moscow. It was occupied from October 12, 1941 to December 30, 1941.
In 1944 the Soviet Government used its local military buildings to intern hundreds of Polish POWs—soldiers of the Polish Underground Home Army—whom the advancing Soviet front had arrested by in the Vilno area. <www.en.wikipedia.org>
