올 여름 해외여행을 생각하지만 주머니 사정을 고려한다면 노르웨이 오슬로 등 유럽의 주요 도시들은 만만치 않은 여행지가 될 전망이다.
여행전문사이트 어드바이저닷컴이 최근 발표한 ‘여행자에게 가장 비싼 도시’ 조사에 따르면 오슬로는 하루 경비가 581.08 달러로 세계에서 가장 비싼 것으로 나타났다. 2위는 스위스 취리히로 506.45달러, 3위는 스웨덴 스톡홀름의 504.30 달러로 각각 조사됐다.

이어 뉴욕($498.58) 파리($494.96) 런던($437.40) 코펜하겐($429.55) 멕시코 칸쿤($426.09) 도미니카의 푼타카나($420.91)의 순이었다. 10대 도시에 유럽의 주요 도시가 60%를 차지한 셈이다.
이번 조사는 커플 기준으로 4성급호텔에서 칵테일과 두가지 코스의 정찬, 와인을 즐기며 3.2km 거리를 택시로 왕복하는 비용을 산정한 것이다.
반대로 가장 싼 도시들은 동유럽의 도시들이 눈에 띄었다. 불가리아 수도 소피아가 1위인 것을 비롯, 폴라드 바르샤바가 3위($181.73), 헝가리 부다페스트가 5위($186.46)로 나타나는 등 비싼 도시들에 비해 3분의1 수준이었다.
호텔비만을 놓고 볼 때도 소피아는 하루 호텔가격이 93.05달러로 가장 저렴했다. 호텔비가 가장 비싼 뉴욕은 4배인 366.46 딜러였다.
그밖의 싼 도시들은 베트남의 하노이가 170.12 달러로 2위였고 이집트의 샤멜 셰이크가 184.74 달러로 4위, 태국 방콕이 6위($194.79), 말레이시아 쿠알라룸푸르가 7위($210.30) 튀니지 튀니스가 8위($211.51), 남아공 케이프타운이 9위($212.49), 사우디 리야드($212.49) 순이었다.
어드바이저닷컴은 "지난해 비싼 도시 10위였던 싱가포르는 올해 조사에서 14위로 내려갔다“면서 ”전반적으로 아시아가 비용면에서 여행친화적인 도시들이 많다“고 말했다.

Travellers in Oslo can expect to reach for their wallets with the Norwegian capital ranking as the most expensive for a night out on the town at $561.26, according to a cost comparison of the world's key cities.
Sydney, costing $445.64 for a night out, ranked No. 6 among the European-dominated mix of priciest places that included Zurich No. 2, Stockholm No. 3, Paris No. 5, London No. 7 and Copenhagen No. 8.
The TripAdvisor TripIndex Cities is based on the cost of a couple staying one night in a four-star hotel, cocktails, a two-course dinner with a bottle of wine, and return taxi fare of 3.2 kilometres each way.
South-east Asia, meanwhile, claimed three cities in the 10 least expensive destinations with Hanoi, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur ranking No. 2, No .6 and No. 7 respectively.
But there were exceptions in both Asia and Europe, with Sofia in Bulgaria the cheapest city overall at $153.21 for a night of revelry.
