This vast 700km-expanse of desert, passing through California, Nevada and Arizona, although it included a big city, Los Angeles, has opened the way for me. It's February 20, 2015, today. While I¡®ve running, the hot sun of the desert came down to the top of my head, and met with the hot blood of my heart, and I played the most exciting game for these twenty days. This barren desert made my emotions most fertile, and if any seed of emotion fell, it seemed to take root and grow well. Those who have just begun to love here will soon sign a centennial covenant of eternal love, and if they are on a farewell tour ahead of parting, they will likely renew their vow of love.

Above all, I could feel my feeling for my beloved family taking root and growing up in a desert where there was no water to photosynthesis. I felt my gratitude for my friends, who cried, laughed and shared difficulties with me, and my gratitude for my teachers, who were always inspiring and encouraging me, and my desire for the unification of my country, which was a small seed in my heart when I set out, was now well sprung up. It is my belief that unification must be independent and peaceful by our generation and handed down to our future generations.

My knee starts to hurt again. I'm still in the early stage of the journey, so whenever I have pain in my knee, I'm really worried that I may have to give up halfway. I'm much worried that I may break the situation in the middle while playing the most exciting game of my life. There are so many things that I really want to check out after finishing the race. Looking at the rising sun in the morning, I tried to meditate touching the sore part, breathing in and exhaling with big breaths. This is the way I saw it in the book one day. In the middle of this desert, all I have to rely on is supernatural power. It seems that it improves the painful part to repeat it with such sincerity and so far there is no big problem.

I learned that the body of a man is mysterious. The adaptability of the body is truly amazing and great. I must have been weak from the accumulation of extreme fatigue, but I'm rather energetic. No disease has penetrated me because my body's defence forces are on emergency duty. We are told to listen to what the body says. That's right. However, our body is like a child who is always fussing about it. If we accept all the requests of our bodies, our bodies are bound to collapse.

It is said that our mind lives in the 21st century and the body stays in the period of a hunting life two million years ago. They say we don't know when to be attacked by the enemy or when to hunt, so they want to sit down whenever possible, to lie down next , and to have sex in order to breed their species next. However, in these extreme circumstances, the body is no longer obtrusive It is getting the necessary ingredients for its own survival.

It's like a dream that I'm standing in the middle of an endless silvery glow in the desert. Running through the desert, I let go of my mother earth's long fatigue by massaging her with my two feet and became as reverent as possible, shedding sweats and tears of deep remorse on this dry land. I have opened up all my senses in order to communicate with all the spirits that are in the desert. As always, when I run, all distracting elements disappear and the power of my attention reaches its top. One is free when one's mind is at its best. Running through the desert, I tasted the best spirit and enjoyed the greatest freedom. Creative work is done when the body and mind are free. It is important to have time for this kind of freedom once in our life.

To think of it, it¡¯s our life just like a high speed train. So a comma is needed in our life and a station is needed, too. Especially if you plan a new life after middle age, it is all the more so. When it comes to post-middle-aged life, it is important to enjoy ourself and do what we want, not the logic of competition. It would be even better if we could make contributions to society, while doing so. When the wind of the desert came into the body through pores and stimulated platelets, fresh energy seemed to flow into the body.

I run endlessly from west to east. I run slowly but steadily toward the sunrising east just like a long river flows continuously. The sand of the desert sparkles like a scale of fish, and my running time flows like a haze in the desert. It seems that I can see e a line between the world I thought of and the world I didn't think of. I have never felt the warmth of life, though I have been running so busily toward the sunny side so far, doing my best. The reason why people cannot take root of their lives even if they are always running to the sun so hard is because of the lack of wet love. Just as flower seeds can't take root in the desert. what I know clearly now is that it is as stark as this road I run on if there is no love for people, no matter how intensely the wealth and honor may fall down, like the sunshine of the desert,

When I passed through the small city, Seligman, a car stopped in front of me and waited until I approached it. Then a young man and a woman who came out of the car and said "Annyounghaseyo! or Hello!" fluently in Korean. They were Chinese who came on vacation to the United States to watch the Grand Canyon while working in Korea. When they saw Korean flag or Taegeukgi flying on my wheelbarrow, they were too glad to pass by because they came to like Korea while working in Korea. They handed me cold iced coffee, water and chocolate, and even shouted "Fighting." I don't know the taste of oasis yet. but I think the cool iced coffee and water that just came out of the icebox is the taste of oasis.

From now on, the weather has become quite chilly, and when I come to Ash Fork, it's over 1,500 meters high, and it's already on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. After crossing one more mountain there, I entered Williams City just in three weeks, and now the surrounding area is densely covered with big coniferous trees unique to the high mountain. I felt like I had come into the picture postcard of Northern Europe, where fir trees were proudly tall without exception. It feels like a stage in a play that goes from the first act to the second act, the stage changes from the desert to the forest of the North Pole in just one day, so I feel like entering a new world. Williams is the entrance to the Grand Canyon. The desert that was testing me so hard finally opened the way for me. The Spirit of the Desert showed me the mysteries of the Desert. I must have passed the Mojave Desert safely now. But I should not relax at all, for there's still another vast desert stretching across Arizona and New Mexico over the Rocky Mountains.

She wasn't an outstanding beauty, but she was the kind of woman anyone wanted to date. In fact, I used to describe the woman I wanted to date like this. Her brown hair and sky-blue eyes seemed to suck people's hearts as if she were wet with sad memories. The moment I saw her enter the Italian restaurant, all my energy concentrated in my eyes and my eyes seemed to pop out like Pinocchio¡¯s nose. She looks at my costume and says to me, "I think you like running!". "I like it! I love it so much that I run from LA to New York." I answered with a smile on my face. Her face was stretched like a sweet twig and she said, "Are you crazy? Are you serious?" "Yes, I am crazy. If not, how come I'm running 5,200 kilometers from Los Angeles to New York? And with no one's help. But I've already crossed the Mojave Desert safely." This time, her surprised eyes pop out as long as Pinocchio's nose, not my eyes. She lifted both thumbs up and put them on her head, but I thought she was showing off her pretty thumbs. They were pretty fingers manicured with pink. "You're joking, aren't you? How can you run all alone through the Mojave Desert without anyone's help? There must be a car behind you." Saying these, she sat at my table without asking for my consent.

I came into the Diner's for dinner and was wearing a Boston Marathon jacket. The Boston Marathon is a dream stage for an amateur marathoner. If any one want to compete here, he or she must have a running record better than a certain required record, so it¡¯s an envy even for those who run pretty good. She recognized the Boston jacket and spoke to me so I could tell she was also a marathoner.

She called her name Jessica. Jessica said she was then in despair and was cooling her head by traveling alone. "The first time I saw you, I felt something powerful flowing through you. And while I was talking to you, I knew I am right. I got a lot of energy from you. Thank you! I'll buy dinner tonight. I'd like to make up for something. And I want to talk to you more." I forgot to turn down people's favor from a long time ago. Instead, I said, "Thank you. I'm rather encouraged to say so." I didn't ask her what kind of trouble she was in. We cannot live in the world knowing everything we are curious about.

I ordered lasagna and she ordered Alfredo. She asked for a glass of wine, too, but I totally declined. I was already half drunk by her enchanting beauty, and if I had a glass of wine, then I couldn't be sure of myself what to do, next. I didn't want to scratch the big challenge on alcohol and women. We can't live doing everything we want to do. Especially when I am carrying out this extreme challenge. It was my great pleasure and great luck just to have a dinner with a pretty woman anyone wanted to date. If it's the romance of men traveling alone, this evening was very romantic. When we broke up after dinner, she hugged me tightly with good luck and I almost hugged her even more. The scent of flowers that brought the bees pops out of her. A chemical reaction has occurred that is difficult to overcome with the most self-restraint. I was not the bee that evening. I needed a firm resolution when my serene mind was about to collapse.

Yesterday I ran 37 kilometers and today 30 kilometers, so I saved more energy than usual. I have to climb the 51km long, steep mountain to the top of the Rocky Mountains tomorrow. To do that, I had to get plenty of rest and nutrition. I regret it a little bit on the romance which I left, still in bed. However, there is no journey without a regret.
