Identity as Image
by ÀÌ¸íµ¿ | 18.03.08 06:20

As a topic IDENTITY is not easy to approach, or analyze because there are so many moving parts and they continue to move along, none stop.

One effective approach is identity as image. Yes, it is the composite image, but an image, nonetheless.

An athletic move have many moving parts, and it takes tremendous amount of time and effort to have them move in harmony, grace, and right sequence. Those so many moving parts become one picture; one image. The better you¡¯re, the clearer the image becomes. Clear image definitely helps in making clear, decisive, and courageous decisions. The time we¡¯re living in demands clear images. Actually, it is critically important. A lot hangs on balance. Time for crystal clear vision/image.

Confucius described the many stages of life, chronologically. As a person gets aged, that person gets wiser as the circle of life gets wider, and deeper. Understood and agreed. In other words, a person gets to have many evolving images in a life time. That is our cycle of life, unavoidable, well, comes with territory.

From literatures, arts, and real life, many different ways of images/identities/ characters/situations are discovered and appreciated.

Great writers, poets, artists, philosophers describe, explain an image, an identity clearly, concisely, and compellingly. And for the ages. Because humanity is a humanity.

One of the nice goals in life have, always, been the attempt to find, create, reach the new image of ourselves. Clearly better and wiser ones. Of course, confused ones for the entertainment, on the side.

In real life, the question is what is your image/identity/position toward #MeToo movement, two Koreas¡¯ intriguing, and, for now, exciting situation, the arc of history in the U.S.A., etc., etc.,and etc. The world is full of interesting image/identity lines.

As someone I know said ¡°It is their story.¡±

Identity seems obvious, but, also, elusive, broad, and complex.

Yet, it is an important foundation of our life, playing decisive role in the direction of our life. Let¡¯s come together and examine what it is/what it could be.

It is always much better when we come together and hear different voices.

After all, Identity inherently implies in relation to.
